Hi, my chihuahua was born 2-23-08. His ears have still not gone up. Your site says that ears some times take up to a year to go up. All other sites I have been on state if they are not up by 6 months they never will go up. As time goes on, are the chances they will go up get less and less. I also wanted to say that I know the Chihuahua's are generally not kid dogs and I agree that most children should not own a Chihuahua, but there are a lot of children out there that have raised and been around very small animals from a very young age and do now the "rules" as well as to follow them and how to handle them and know only to hold the small animals if sitting down on the ground. It takes a lot of parent involvement and time, but well worth it. Our Chihuahua is my six year olds best friend.
I have a chihuahua puppy and she's eight weeks old. When we got her she was really good about using the newspaper, but now she's having accidents all over the house. She even urinated on my boyfriend while they were napping on the couch (not that I was too upset about that...it was rather funny). We can't figure out why she's suddenly having these accidents. Is there possibly something we're doing wrong that is causing this problem?

I purchased Hoover who name now is taz on sat(07jun08). Went to the vet today. He was in excellent shape,,,my vet couldnt say enough about this breeder. Quality and personality of my new baby boy. Said he never had a breeder that was so organized with health and records. You get what you pay for in a breeder...and chihuahua land is the rolls royce of chihuahuas. I was the president of the chihuahua club here for yrs and i was so impressed with them. They truly care for the breed and their dogs especially.

I have always wanted a chihuahua! This december it will be possible, my husband will be done wioth his marine schooling and we will relocate and own a home instead of an apartment! I simply cannot wait, and I intend to buy from Chihuahua-land!

After watching your videos on Youtube, I just had to check out the site. I won't be in a position to adopt from you anytime soon as our family is living in Japan but if you're still in the biz in 3 years when we get stationed back in the states, I'd love to get a playmate for my little guy. Chis really are like potato chips; I'm dying for another! It's so rare and refreshing to find a responsible breeder that doesn't deal with this "miniature" or "teacup" garbage! Our little squirt was little by chance and believe me, I know the tiny ones can have their problems! Anyhoo, your chis are a joy to watch. I'm totally addicted to your gorgeous longcoats :)

this is one of the 15th best chihuahua websites ive seen. i think the oly improving you could possibly do is: a) put more pages on this website about how to train and what to do to make your chi puppy more comfortable for the first few weeks etc b) enough with the ... <- !!!!

I love your sight so I am now registered. I have a 12 week old female brown, white, and tan baby named Sachee. She is so adorable. The problem we are having is sometimes she goes straight to her pad and potties and sometimes just does it on the floor. She loves to sleep with my husband (he weighs about 195 and she weighs 1.5 lbs) but she pees and poos on our bed. What should we do? She cries if he doesnt let her sleep with him and he cant stand it.

we adopted a long hair chi, she weights about 9 lbs and we think she about 4 yrs old, is she over weight? how do you get a grooming book? to see if she should be trimed a certain way. and she sleeps alot is that normal?
I bought a short haired chi back in December. He is 8 months old now. He is the best. My family loves him. He just won't get trained. We tried the pads which work if everything in the house in closed off and inaccessible. We recently moved and he's pooping everywhere. We are taking him out and then he comes in and poops. Help! I know we confused him going from pads to outside but we had no choice during the move. Also, we live in cold Germany and was trying to spare him the cold. What should we do? Thanks for this site. Love your pup cam! We recently purchased a long haired Chi for our girls for Christmas - aka Skittles! He only weighs about a pound and a half and follows me everywhere! I think he bonded with me first(and I love it)! We all love him and he instantly became a member of our family! We try to take him everywhere we possibly can - visiting family, quick trips to the grocery store - you know... Thanks for sharing your pics and videos - your Chi's are absolutely adorable and it's very plan to see how much you love them all. :o)
I gotta say I love all your little Chi's. We have our own, but she is about 7.5lbs. We love her much and take her everywhere. She goes in her little purse house and travels all over. I would love to get a male, but havent found the right one at the right price yet, but still looking. We also have 4 big 80-100 lb. Labs, but our Chi (Sugar) runs the place.
